Re: New Mailing of the Judges Ballot

Over the last several days it has been brought to the club's attention a discrepancy between the cover letter and what was actually prepared in each member's packet. We are asking all members who have not done so already to NOT mail the existing ballot. In light of this discrepancy, the USKBTC will resend a new ballot to each member in good standing. The new ballot will be a distinctly different color from the previous mailing. Only the ballots with the distinct color will be tabulated. Again, please do NOT mail the existing ballot. The old ballots, once received, will be destroyed.

Lynn Duckett has volunteered to work this Easter weekend stuffing the new packets for the mailing early next week. Since the ballots will be mailed the week of April 25th, there will not be sufficient time for all ballots to be returned for tabulating at the Pittsburgh shows over Memorial Day weekend. We have decided to tabulate the ballots at the Chicago shows over the June 17th weekend. This has required a change in the return address envelope to reflect my address. I will be making sure that the return envelopes arrive in Chicago for the tabulation.

The judges list that the USKBTC received from the AKC also had two discrepancies. There was a deceased judge still on the list and a judge's name listed twice with different addresses. We have taken the additional step of removing these two line items from the ballot and have notified the AKC.

We at the USKBTC are sorry for this inconvenience. We all oft times try for perfection but come up short. However, we learn from our mistakes. Thank you for your time and patience.
